Facing the camera....with food ofcourse

When a friend from Nautanki TV asked me if I could do cookery videos for an internet TV channel, I thought "No Way!!!" but told him "Why not??".

One thing led to the other and I started doing short cookery videos on simple recipes that viewers could try out at home, with some health tips thrown in. The first 3 episodes had me learning how to look into the camera and not all over the place and finally I have some guts to share with you the latest video where I have demonstrated how to make Indianised French Toast...readers will remember this was the same post that ran into some controversies :)

Hopefully, this video should be pretty non-controversial (winks) but I welcome the feedback of my dear fellow foodbloggers. I had already mailed the earlier video to some friends and am keeping in mind their valuable pointers.

I must thank my family and friends who have kept me encouraged through out, while i was getting into this unfamiliar territory!

Hmmm... this is what you look and talk like :) The video is very nice.

I haven't (or have I) reached this part of your blog... but I did make this for breakfast some 3-4 months ago... inspired by the bread omelette that folks at our office got. Same recipe except for the besan and rava!

Hey Raaga,
So that's how it is :) Now all readers can imagine me talk etc etc when they read me!
That part of my blog is hidden somewhere in the archives, but the controversial bits have been deleted from the comments..
Cya around dear girl!

I have to try adding besan and rava to French toast, so thanks for the tip.

Yay! You went live!

Your videos are more than just the recipe. The nutritional advice is invaluable and the substitutes you recommend are not hype or the latest fad but ingredients that are accessible! You go, girl! You totally rock!

Can I tell everyone that Dr. Nandita is *my* friend? :-D I'm so proud of you!

Wow! Nandita, wow! i felt like i knew you just reading your writing, but, i really enjoyed watching your show - you sound down-to-earth and sincere - keep it up. When hosts pull a holier-than-thou attitude, many viewers like me get put off - i liked your attitude of sharing rather than preaching :-)
Cheers!
Sheela.

Your video looks wonderful, Nandita -- congratulations! Hope we'll get to see some more :)

By the way, it's very interesting to add besan and rava to the egg/milk. Must make it a little crunchier on the outside?

Wow Nandita
That was so impressive!!! You dont look anyhting like a newbie... looks like uve been doing this for years. I love your health tips too.. have a new respect for anyone who consciously tries to cook healthy and not just tasty. Do you edit the videos yourself or do you have someone else to do it? i like the touch of the music fillers... i know you have put a lot of thought into the whole thing an its not as simple as it looks.
Looking fwd to more :)
